Most of the time herein the south, prime time shows are only interrupted for the occasional tornado or college coach firing, but last night there was a crawl across the bottom of the screen telling that my high school alma mater principal had been arrested on drug charges. Granted, it wasn't the same principal as when I was there, so I don't really see the big deal. Except know I'll get to say "I went to the crack school" maybe.
Even worse, there's news that Pierce Brosnan may not return for the next Bond movie.
I've been on a Poser kick lately, once again discovering the joys of 3D modelling. I've even managed to pick up a couple of 3rd party tools and models for the program along the way. I originally got caught up in all of this hoping it would make modelling the figures for my eventual wrestling game easier, there's all kinds of wrestling props out there.
I've managed to pick up pretty much everything I would need for a wrestling game. A ring. A couple of different body types. Championship belt. Table to crash people through. I think I've enven found a folding chair to smack people upside the head. Now the key is going to be to see what it takes to import these models into whichever game engine I'm going to use (I thought I had decided, but I'm now up to 2 choices again).
I just need to do a little more testing, that's all.
It's finally been announced that the original Star Wars trilogy is coming to DVD September 21. It's more than likely going to be chock full of extra bonus docu-drama-blooper-effects, but that's what DVDs are for!
I remember when the series was re-released in the theaters in their Special Edition format, I didn't think the original Star Wars had aged that well (even with all the up to date additions to the effects). Maybe it's just different to see things through the wide open eyes of an eight-year old.
Doens't mean I'm not going to get these when they come out, though.
Weekends are made for sleeping, espeically during the winter. Most of the time during the week, I manage 6-7 hours of sleep per night. I'm fine with that, I feel plenty rested on a day to day basis. I think some of that caught up with me over the weekend. Lots of naps. Lots of sleep.
Last night, I went to bed at 7:40 after an hour or so of having a hard time keeping my eyes open. I remember seeing the clock go to 8:00, but it wasn't soon after that I was sleeping, snoring, and drooling. I managed to pretty much stay that way until my alarm went off at 7:45 this morning. Luckily, I didn't wake up tired as is often the case of sleeping so much.
The only weird part of my long nights sleep is that I feel a little dissoriented so far, kind of like I'm not all the way awake (although I don't feel tired). Maybe once the day gets going I can get into my groove.
This has turned into my favorite quote from Jack Nicholson:
"I only take Viagra when I'm with more than one woman."
Along a different vein, I'm not sure why it took so long, but someone is finally making an adult version of the Sims. Sort of.
As always, correct spelling is optional in any blog entry. Keep in mind that any links more than a year old may not be active, especially the ones pointing back to Russellmania (I like to move things around!).
Tags have been added to posts back to 2005. There may be an occasional old blog that gets added to the tag list, but in reality what could be noteworthy from that far back?
