After my spurt of new camtoons last week, a follow-up toon has clawed its wat onto the internet.
I forgot to mention it, but I managed to get my riding mower back on Saturday. Of course, we've had nothing but constant rain ever since, so I don't really know if it's 100% fixed or not. once the rain stops, the mower will get a good christening, because the yard is a good 2 weeks past really needing to be mowed.
Today was the time for me to mail off a big, huge stack of stuff:
I hate mailing off bills. Not because of the sudden drop in my bank account, I just tend to put off taking the time to get everything together, write the checks, stuff the envelopes, hunt down stamps, etc.
As a tangent, but still mail associated, I got a query from "Shaninio 2k4" asking about the wrestling game. More than anything, it made me relize how the game has been put on the backburner lately as I try to finish up the shopping cart addition to the BioVentures website. But I do need to hurry up and get back to making the game. I've been working through some of the DarkBasic tutorials, but I still haven't made enough progress to do the things I want to do for the game yet. But that's how the learning process is supposed to work.
This is one of those weeks where I've gotten really busy (websites, remodelling the house, etc.), but yet I get a chance, like now, to sit back and recognize just how good my life is. So, my posts may be a little sparse this week due to said busy-ness, but at least I'm going to be enjoying it!
Today has been educational. I've learned a couple of important things.
I'll probably learn more befor ethe day is through, I just hope it's not painful.
The last of the contractored (it's my website, I can make up words if I want - like spicket!) home renovations has been complete. Quarter round guys came in and spent 15 minutes finishing up the 2 hall closets. To make up for it, I heard they then spent about 3 hours fixing the garage door. The door now works fine, it's just in need of new bearings for the rollers. I have no idea how to put new bearings in teh rollers. Sounds like I may need another contractor! The only thing left is to put Gina to work painting!
Yesterday I also sent my poor lawn mower off to finally get the faulty gas tank replaced. While at the shop, it'll be getting the whole tune-up treatment. Hopefully it'll all happen quick since the lawn is starting to get in dire need of mowing.
Totally unrelated, but today marks my 1st anniversary at Spiritus! Yay me!
As always, correct spelling is optional in any blog entry. Keep in mind that any links more than a year old may not be active, especially the ones pointing back to Russellmania (I like to move things around!).
Tags have been added to posts back to 2005. There may be an occasional old blog that gets added to the tag list, but in reality what could be noteworthy from that far back?
